Lina Lapelyte

V boční kapli je vystavena video instalace s názvem Ghost od Liny Lapelytė (nar. 1984, Kaunas, Litva). Tvorba Lapelytė, založená na performanci, vychází z hudby a pohrává si s popkulturou, genderovými stereotypy a nostalgií. Umělkyně zapojuje do svých performancí jak profesionální, tak neprofesionální interprety, kteří se prostřednictvím zpěvu pohybují na pomezí opery a populární hudby. Ve své práci proměňuje individuální příběhy v kolektivní, emocionálně nabité události. Tyto situace zpochybňují zranitelnost a umlčování, zároveň však oslavují polyfonii, soustředěné naslouchání a individuální vyjádření.

s laskavým svolením autorky In the central chapel, a video installation titled Ghost by Lina Lapelytė(b. 1984, Kaunas, Lithuania) is on view. Lapelytė’s performance-based practice is rooted in music and flirts with pop culture, gender stereotypes, and nostalgia. She engages both trained and untrained performers in acts of singing that draw from genres ranging from opera to mainstream music. Through her work, individual narratives are transformed into collective, emotionally charged events. These events question vulnerability and silencing while simultaneously celebrating polyphony, attentive listening, and individual expression.
